The recently held Andritz Delkor (Pty) Ltd' Annual Golf Day bears testament to the fact that customers do not need to be in-store to purchase from Hirsch's. For the past two years this engineering colossal have purchased all their prizes for their prestigious event from Hirsch's.   The products chosen as prizes range from microwave ovens, food-steamers, water filters to air fryers and many more. Said Gary Witford from Andritz Delkor, "We prefer every golfer leaving with at least one prize and Hirsch's is the store for this one-stop shopping."

Several players made the decision to auction their prizes for the non-profit organisation the Friends Forever Foundation. "The generosity from all present was truly heart-warming with an amount of more than R23 000 being raised from American-style bidding." Said Gary. Hirsch's had lucky prize draws where cook books, vouchers and emergency lanterns were up for grabs.   An extremely entertaining occasion with many guests immodestly sharing all their wonderful products purchased from Hirsch's too!

This morning Hirsch PMB hit the traffic for a fantastic Fun Strike armed with colourful boards – lots of hooting cars and police Sirens (a sigh of relief when it was only in support of us) We showed PMB that we are here to stay and reminded them of our fantastic specials and superb service. The Team pulled together in making the boards and shouting and dancing in the streets.

Said Hirsch PR Consultant, Glenda Thompson, “while the kids cooked – the Mums had time to  shop!”  Hirsch’s partnered with Fine Young Cooks for the day  and each child prepared, cooked and iced biscuits and then learnt how to make a delicious breakfast for Mum on Mothers Day!

Hirsch Ballito held a very successful Domestic Workers training session in their showroom today with 15 ladies – including some from local B and B’s – attending the session. Hirsch’s PR Consultant, Glenda Thompson kicked off he morning by welcoming participants, and giving them a brief talk on Hirsch’s and a tour of the shop.   Patsy Peria, Unilever’s Senior Product Consultant, gave an excellent talk on how to clean and maintain a variety of appliances.  Her talk was peppered with handy tips and advice “Remove stains from fridges immediately;  don’t wash your whites with coloured clothes; use a powder that doesn’t foam; clean the washing machine dispenser with a tooth brush;  Use Geochem Grease Stripper from Hirsch’s to clean ovens. Etc.” Then it  was on to the Televisions with a lecture from Samsung’s Tashen Naidoo on how to clean flat screens.  AEG’s Nelendhree Pillay took over from Tashen and showed the group how to use a vacuum cleaner and gave a good demonstration with the Go Green vacuum.  The morning was rounded off with  a delicious sweet potato and butternut soup that was made in the AEG pressure cooker by Nelendhree. Certificates were handed out to all attendees and they left happy with the knowledge that Hirsch was the place to come to to learn all about appliances!

“On-your-marks, get-set ....... go!”  This was definitely the spirit of the Blue Angels team at Hirsch’s Fourways on Saturday.  Said Hirsch’s 4 Ways PRO Keindira Moodley “The purpose was more to encourage team-building and camaraderie but this team proved more than that. The team arrived at 07:00, put on their chef gear and took to their work stations.  The very talented team proved that they could stand the heat in the kitchen! On their menu were curries, soups  and a gourmet breakfast, all prepared with Elba and Kenwood appliances.

A well-deserved pat on the back for excellent teamwork – well done BLUE ANGELS!!!”
